We would like to bring attention to a recent case of domestic violence which could have been avoided had the two parties had a custody agreement in place before the marriage and or relationship started to sour. I can't really say it is new, however it's not an agreement you have seen too many times.
It is very simple agreement, which just states in writing that parents agree that if the relationship doesn't work they both agree to equally share in raising their child, this agreement is agreed upon at a very early age birth? ,1, 2, 3 years old ? This is the new part because this is in the spirit of BEFORE THE ABUSE. We have seen in so many cases where one of the main issues is who will the children live with,dads have to live with the fact that their time with their children will be greatly diminished not because of the children but because of the differences with their mother. The dad after sometimes years been with his children everyday, Halloween, Easter, Xmas, school activities, Tylenol, diapers etc and all of a sudden he will only be able to see his children on weekends ?
